• “Feliz Primavera” is the most used greeting in Argentina on every September 21st. On that date, the argentines celebrate the beginning of the spring and the Student Day buying flowers, making picnics, having wine dinners, all around Buenos Aires and the rest of the argentine provinces. During the day the streets in Buenos Aires are filled with students listening to music and drinking heavily. The public transportation and parks are collapsed, and you can see all the young single ones flirting all over the city.

Yesterday I took a bus to my dance class and some guys from a car started a conversation with some girls that were on the bus. It was unbelievable! At night, “after offices” and bars are also with more people than usual. Specially yesterday, that the night was so nice and warm a lot of people were out. It felt like summer. All I wanted to do is have a nice dinner in Las Cañitas and a yummy glass of Torrontes, smelling the its greats aromas and tasting sip by sip its notes of peach, flowers and citrus.

Torrontes is the white wine from Argentina, we always offer it at our Buenos Aires wine tastings. The grape is cold Torrontes Riojano and the best ones come from Salta, Argentina. Mendoza and San Juan also make good Torrontes but usually less expressive than the ones from Salta. Today, the 2nd day of spring, the day is not as good as yesterday. It is cold and about to rain. The city has to be cleaned up because of all the trash people left in the parks and streets. If I have to pick a wine for today, it would be Mairena Malbec – Bonarda Blend Reserve.
